What is Alchemy Care?
Alchemy Care is a therapeutic and mentoring service supporting young people aged 14–24 who are in, transitioning from, or have exited Out of Home Care. We provide relationship-based, healing-centred support that recognises leaving care as a long-term transition, not a single moment in time.
Our work focuses on consistency, safety, and meaningful connection, supporting young people to build skills, confidence, and a strong sense of identity as they move into adulthood.
Our Healing-Centred Approach
belongingCreating safe, reliable relationships where young people feel seen, valued, and accepted.
skillsSupporting practical, emotional, and social skills for everyday life and adulthood.
communityFostering connection to culture, peers, services, and meaningful roles.
Together, these foundations support healing, identity development, and confidence as young people navigate life beyond care.
Services
Counselling & Therapeutic Support
Counselling is delivered by Lucy and provides a safe, non-judgemental space for young people to:
process lived experiences and transitions from care
build emotional regulation and coping skills
explore identity, values, and self-worth
navigate relationships, loss, and life changes
Sessions are person-centred, trauma-informed, and tailored to each young person’s goals, communication style, and readiness.
1:1 Mentoring & Transitional Support
1:1 mentoring is delivered by Erin, and Monica, who bring extensive experience across the Out of Home Care system, including direct support, clinical, and leadership roles.
Mentoring supports young people to:
safely express their voice
build authenticity and self-understanding
understand their rights, needs, and boundaries
develop confidence and agency
Support may include independent living skills, education and employment pathways, decision-making, advocacy, and navigating systems and services. Relationships are strengths-based, healing-centred, and grounded in trust and consistency.
Leaving Care Programs
(Fee for Service)Alchemy Care offers flexible Leaving Care programs for young people aged 14–24 who are preparing to leave, or have already exited, the OOHC system.
Programs may include transition planning, practical skill-building, relational support during change, connection to community and culture, and ongoing post-care check-ins to reduce isolation. Support is paced to the young person and extends beyond formal care timeframes wherever possible.

At Alchemy Care, we believe young people leaving care deserve more than survival.
They deserve belonging, opportunity, community, and consistent adults who walk alongside them as they heal, build skills, and step into adulthood with dignity, confidence, and hope.
